Kodiak
The City of Kodiak, with a population of 6,200, is located on the second
largest island in the United States and is home to the largest Coast
Guard Base in the Nation. The island is noted for its hunting and
world-class sport fishing activity, kayaking, outdoor photography
and hiking. Kodiak has one of Alaska's largest ports for commercial
fishing.
The Kodiak office was the first Altman, Rogers & Company satellite
office established in 1997 and operates with a manager/supervisor
and a senior staff accountant. Functions performed include audit,
tax preparation and bookkeeping services, serving a wide variety
of governmental, corporate and individual clients. Kodiak is
served by airlines as well as the Alaska Marine Highway system.
